This broad engagement highlighted the relevance of the discussions\u00a0on waste management, forest restoration, Forest Code implementation and climate finance,\u00a0and reaffirmed Brazil\u2019s position at the centre of the global climate debate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"btn btn-quaternary btn-size-default\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLZT1KnzDMPjbMTZDiaiBo8tYlwh-S41rn\" target=\"_blank\">Watch the full events on our YouTube channel<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/restoration-and-the-forest-code-levers-for-brazils-climate-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Restoration and the Forest Code: levers for Brazil\u2019s climate goals<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Forest restoration and the effective implementation of Brazil\u2019s Forest Code are among the country\u2019s greatest opportunities to meet its climate targets, while also generating development. This was the guiding theme of discussions on 26 August during Rio Climate Action Week, in events organised by BVRio in partnership with the Forest Code Observatory, Amigos da Terra \u2013 Amaz\u00f4nia Brasileira and a range of supporting organisations. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/restoration-and-the-forest-code-levers-for-brazils-climate-goals\/\">Read more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/sustainable-finance-and-low-carbon-agriculture-pathways-to-cop30\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sustainable finance and low-carbon agriculture: pathways to COP30<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Agriculture and land use are Brazil\u2019s largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions, but also hold the greatest potential to deliver solutions. As a strategic pillar of the national economy and a decisive front in the climate agenda, the sector has become a top priority for climate finance. This urgency set the stage for the event\u00a0<i>\u2018Financing Agricultural and Climate Transition\u2019<\/i>, organised on 27 August by BVRio and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sim.finance\/\">Sustainable Investment Management<\/a>\u00a0 (SIM) as part of Rio Climate Action Week (RCAW). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/sustainable-finance-and-low-carbon-agriculture-pathways-to-cop30\/\">Read more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/circular-economy-and-climate-solutions-for-waste-management-in-brazil-and-beyond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Circular Economy and Climate: Solutions for Waste Management in Brazil and beyond<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Waste management is one of the world\u2019s greatest urban, environmental, and social challenges, and also one of the areas with the greatest potential for progress in climate action in Brazil.
