{"id":5770,"date":"2021-01-18T07:47:07","date_gmt":"2021-01-18T07:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.bvrio.org\/bvrio-is-on-the-search-for-the-earthshot-prize-winners\/"},"modified":"2026-03-05T22:01:44","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T22:01:44","slug":"bvrio-is-on-the-search-for-the-earthshot-prize-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/pt-br\/bvrio-is-on-the-search-for-the-earthshot-prize-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"BVRio is on the search for The Earthshot Prize winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are proud to announce that BVRio has been invited to be an Official Nominator for The Earthshot Prize, and we are on the search for the winners.<\/p>\n<h3>The Earthshot Prize<\/h3>\n<p>Described as \u201cthe most ambitious and prestigious of its kind\u201d, <a href=\"https:\/\/earthshotprize.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Earthshot Prize<\/a> was launched at the end of 2020 with the aim of discovering new solutions to the world\u2019s biggest environmental issues.<\/p>\n<p>As Prince William, who founded the prize as part of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Earth is at a tipping point and we face a stark choice: either we continue as we are and irreparably damage our planet, or we remember our unique power as human beings and our continual ability to lead, innovate and problem-solve. People can achieve great things. The next ten years present us with one of our greatest tests \u2013 a decade of action to repair the Earth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Earthshot Prize is based around five ambitious \u2018Earthshots\u2019 that will help to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protect and restore nature<\/li>\n<li>Clean our air<\/li>\n<li>Revive our oceans<\/li>\n<li>Build a waste-free world<\/li>\n<li>Fix our climate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each year, between 2021 and 2030, five projects \u2013 one for each Earthshot category &#8211; will be awarded a one-million-pound prize and a global platform to highlight their work with the aim that their solutions lead to global adoption, reproduction and scaling.<\/p>\n<h3>The search has begun!<\/h3>\n<p>As an Official Nominator, we are one of over 100 organisations from across the world who have been requested to submit nominations across all five Earthshots.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re honoured to have been selected for our ability to identify the most impactful solutions across all sectors, from grassroots to businesses.<\/p>\n<p>We will be nominating individuals, communities, businesses and organisations whose solutions make the most progress towards achieving the five Earthshots.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any suggestions for solutions we should nominate, please let us know at <a href=\"mailto:info@bvrio.org\">info@bvrio.org<\/a>.
