{"id":8364,"date":"2023-12-15T11:03:53","date_gmt":"2023-12-15T11:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/13.218.190.167\/?p=8364"},"modified":"2026-03-05T21:59:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T21:59:45","slug":"rcf-wins-impact-initiative-of-the-year-latin-america-and-caribbean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bvrio.org\/pt-br\/rcf-wins-impact-initiative-of-the-year-latin-america-and-caribbean\/","title":{"rendered":"RCF wins Impact initiative of the year: Latin America and Caribbean"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are pleased to report that the Responsible Commodities Facility, created by BVRio Strategic Partner, Sustainable Investment Management (SIM), has won the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.environmental-finance.com\/content\/awards\/impact-awards-2023\/winners\/impact-initiative-of-the-year-latin-america-and-caribbean-sims-responsible-commodities-facility.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Environmental Finance<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2018<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Impact initiative of the year: Latin America and Caribbean<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019 award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awards are judged by an independent panel and seek to recognise and reward the work of impact investors everywhere and highlight emerging pockets of best practice, across all asset classes and all geographies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RCF founder and SIM Director, Pedro Moura Costa commented, \u201cWe are thrilled to accept this award in recognition of the success of the RCF and thank the judging panel and our partners for their support. The RCF is a financially sustainable way of incentivising farmers not to deforest, either legally or illegally, and demonstrates a system change in the way sustainable farming can be financed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The RCF was launched in August 2022 with an initial investment of US$11m by Tesco, Sainsbury\u2019s and Waitrose.
